The Right Track

Marc Jacobs has done it again! After watching this mind-blowing, jaw-dropping, Louis Vuitton Fall 2012 production, I’m in fashion ecstasy. A custom steam engine with Louis Vuitton plastered on the side, rolled onto the make-shift train station set that was built at the Louvre in Paris. As the passengers stepped off the train, (in the latest Louis Vuitton fall collections) each were accompanied by a porter who carried their luggage and handbags. The show was a dramatic display of rich fabrics and glitzy details. The models wore Edwardian-style, tall hats and the porters were purposely cast short to create dimension. The vibe was retro, mixed with a mysterious sensibility. Click on the link to watch the show.

Caution: Please have tissues available when viewing this video, the handbags will make you cry!

And THAT’S how it’s done ladies and gentlemen! The perfect combination of Style and Vision. A nod to SteamPunk, Downton Abbey, Upstairs Downstairs: When women were women and knew how to work it. The Bags, the Shoes, the Hats, the Coats, the Frocks – All Sublime. Marc Jacobs knows how to dress a woman, makes a woman want to be a woman, and makes a man envious. This was the perfect show.

I agree Johnny! I wish I could be trapped in an elevator with Marc Jacobs for a few hours so I could pick his brilliant brain. The man is pure genius! He makes me quiver!
