Stripes are timeless and look great as a focal piece or an accessory. When wearing stripes, make sure to choose for your body type. If you are tall and thin, then a horizontal, striped article of clothing will work. If you are heavier in the middle, go for a small or vertical stripe to give the illusion that your are thinner. You can’t go wrong with stripes, so mix it up, and have some fun. Take a striped scarf and tie it on your handbag or wrap it as a head band. If you opt for big stripes as your main feature, pair with smaller striped items as accent pieces (and vice versa) to create dimension and balance. Unless you are 12 years old, or are helping out at the circus, I recommend staying away from horizontal striped socks. Otherwise, get your stripe on!
