Freak Feet

Here’s my “Freaky Friday Fashion” pic for the week. I can’t even begin to imagine where I’d wear these. Oh… that’s because I wouldn’t! And, if for some odd reason these did end up on my feet, please take the gun from the heel and shoot me!

I hope everyone has a great weekend!

PETA’s Pist!!!

The animal activist group PETA is in a serious outrage over the Olsen twins new designs. They have created backpacks and totes from REAL animal fur for their upscale, luxury line, The Row.

PETA is referring to them as the “Trollsen Twins” and released this statement to the press:
“If it looks like a troll and acts like a troll, it’s probably a Trollsen Twin — or someone wearing one of their new $16,000 totes, which are made from the fur and skins of innocent animals … What the Olsens lack in creativity, they try to make up for in shock value. Sadly, it’s the foxes, calves, and alligators — who often have the fur ripped off them while they are still conscious and able to feel pain — who pay the dearest price.”

Hey Doll!

Marc (Have I told you I love you?) Jacobs has teamed up with the creators of TV’s South Park and created a “Muscle Man Marc” doll. He had seen the object in an earlier episode, and, being the creative genius that he is, brought the doll to life.

The doll is available as a limited edition at and in Marc Jacobs boutiques around the world for $125.

The “Muscle Man Marc” is approximately 12 inches high, and made its first appearance in a South Park broadcast in 2011.

In the episode “1%” the shirtless, tattooed, muscular, man doll comforts Eric Cartmanin after his classmates make fun of him for scoring low in a national fitness test.

Marc, if you’re reading this, I just want to let you know that you inspire me daily and I want to play with your man doll! For reals!

See The Sights
I’m gearing up for my weekend getaway with some of my favorite gal pals. Palm Springs here we come!
This outfit inspires me; chunky wedges, wooden jewelry, straw bags and big sunglasses all embody my style.
And of course, I never leave home without my camera; you never know when a photo op may present itself. Plus, I’m sure the desert is swarming with so many cute…Oh nevermind!

Full Bloom

This is a sneak peek from Marc Jacob’s 2013 Resort Show. If you’re hesitant on purchasing loud prints and bold colors, think again. Vibrant floral prints, pattern mixing and color blocking still leads the way in fashion. Marc’s line is full of amazing, pop colors in clothing, handbags and shoes. I love the fabric choices and I’m excited that color is still the new black.

The outfit on the right is calling my name. It’s time for me to refinance my mortgage so I can continue to feed my clothing habit.

Have a nice week!

Ship Shape

Here’s my “Freaky Friday Fashion Pic” of the week.

You’ve heard the saying, “If your ship doesn’t come in, swim out and get it.”

Yep, that’s what I’m going to do! I’m going to quit waiting for things to happen and start making them happen. And, I think I’ll wear this boat hat to remind me not to abandon my dreams!

Have an awesome weekend and stay creative!

Miley’s ring

When Liam Hemsworth decided to propose to Hollywood starlet Miley Cyrus, he looked to celebrity jeweler Neil Lane to create a one-of-a-kind ring.

The ring is a 3.5-carat cushion-cut diamond ring, handcrafted in 18-karat gold with intricately carved diamond floral motifs in an art nouveau pattern. The center stone is a hand-cut antique that dates back to the late 1800’s.

And according to Neil, the cut of the diamond sparkles at any angle. Wow! Congratulations Miley, the Roadkill Girls love you!!!

(Not so) Great Scott!

Jeremy Scott is a designer who is known for his crazy antics in the fashion world. He sent skirts and shirts made from garbage bags, and screen T-shirts that read “TRASH” down the runways last year.

When Adidas hired him to create a running shoe, they had no idea the concept would end up in the dumpster. The shoe has gained so much controversy with the plastic shackles, that Adidas is pulling them off the market to avoid anymore bad publicity. Activists everywhere are outraged claiming that the shoe promotes slavery and is a bad connotation to the African American people.

I’m just curious why no one spoke up at the production meeting? Who thinks putting shackles on a running shoe is a good idea?

Jeremy says he was inspired by a monster, plush doll from the ’80s that wore hand-cuffs, and in no way was promoting slavery.

Since when does Adidas let furry, stuffed animals inspire their athletic line? I’m willing to bet  that there was a little more than coffee being passed around at that meeting.

Sarah Rose

Here’s my Vlog for the week, I hope you like it.

Shoe designer Sarah Rose talks about the journey that has led her to her dream job. She is now the head footwear designer for Sak and Sak Roots.
