Christian Louboutin!!!

Why am I heart broken? Well, I stayed up all night contemplating the purchase of these shoes. Let’s see, do I pay rent or buy shoes? Looks like I have to pay the rent. UGHH!!! So irritating!!!

Thanks Neiman Marcus for sending me “friendly reminders”. I don’t think that’s very nice — tempting a poor shoe addict when she’s got kids to feed and bills to pay! Next time just send me a 4,000 dollar voucher and I’ll consider that “friendly”. Until then, you’re not my BFF!

Crazy for Clutches

I love handbags! This season there’s a lot of emphasis on clutches. They’re small but mighty. Perfect for date night or other special occasions.

This season a lot of designers are focusing on the clutch bag. Almost every major collection features some sort of clutch that translates into a little work of art that you can hold in your hand. I’ve picked a few of my favorite pieces to share with you.

The first pic is Charlotte Olympia’s perfume bottle clutch. OMG!!! When I look at this I cry. It’s so frickin’ adorable! I hope someone buys this for me and then takes me to a champagne brunch.

The second pic is Givenchy. It’s perfect for a night out on the town. I hope someone buys this for me and then takes me to see a Rock band.

The third pic is Christian Louboutin’s all-over spiked clutch. I hope someone buys this for me and then takes me on an adventure (or at least to an awesome restaurant).

The fourth pic is Kate Spade’s cinema clutch. Really? Can she get any cooler? I am torn between Kate and Charlotte this season. They both bring so much creativity to their designs. Anyway, I hope someone buys this for me and then takes me to the theater. (In New York.)

I hope if you’re reading this (person who is going to buy me stuff and take me places) you realize that happiness is at your fingertips, so get a grip.

Awaken the Soles

These are my top 5 shoe picks to wear for the next week.

1. Kermit Tesoro skull heels.

2. Christian Louboutin rhinestone spider web pumps.

3. Candy Corn mary jane by Pleaser.

4. Black cat flats by Charlotte Olympia.

5. Bat pump by Thea Cadabra.

So get your spook on with a pair of these festive shoes; they’re frightfully fantastic! And, don’t sell your soles to the devil, you might need them again next year too.

Shoe Addict

What makes for a perfect Saturday? For me, it’s  walking down Madison Ave. in New York with my “bestie” checking out window displays and shopping for shoes. And, that’s exactly what I did last Saturday (hence the lack of blogging all week). New York was amazing and the only bad thing about the trip was that it went by too fast! I was so inspired by all of  the boutiques and specialty shops; the amount of pride and visual integrity that went into the presentation of the store window displays was extraordinary.

My favorite, by far, was Barney’s. Since, they’re celebrating shoes all month, they took it to the extreme. They transformed their window into a live fish tank where Christian Louboutin pumps floated in mid air while hundreds of pink fish swam around them. “Swimming with the Louboutin” was the epic message.

The opposing window was a collage of pumps. It looked as though someone had dumped a truck load of shoes into a giant, glass box. The sign read: “Count The Shoes”. Of course, after you stood there for 45 minutes counting shoes, you were encouraged to submit your count inside the store for a chance to win a shopping spree. I didn’t have time to count the shoes, my ADD was kicking in and I found myself on the 5th floor of Barney’s lusting and crying over the most amazing shoes in the world.  It was sick!!!

Unfortunately, I can’t tell you what happened next, because my husband sometimes reads my blog. Hint: YSL wedge.

Fur Sure!

Fur Sure!
After hours of walking and talking fashion last week in Vegas, it’s safe to say that fur is a key player in this season’s line up. Look for fur handbags and clutches, colored, fur vests, and fur trim on everything from bracelets to shirt collars. Of course “real” fur is a faux pas, so pass on that (unless you want PETA lambasting and stalking you) and stick with the fun, colorful, synthetic pieces.
